Karl did it again ... Making of "Glass and Mirror" ad campaign Chanel SS 2014

E' proprio Karl Lagerfeld in persona l'autore delle foto per la campagna pubblicitaria Chanel primavera/estate 2014.
Le due protagoniste degli scatti sono le stelle nascenti Lindsey Wixson e Sasha Luss. La location allestita di vetri e specchi rappresenta il doppio lato, la doppia faccia della moda: nonostante Karl Lagerfeld rimane sempre molto fedele alle origini della Maison Chanel, è evidente la voglia di modernità e di contemporaneità: il famoso tweed e bouclè si colora di pink e le immancabili perle di Chanel sono grandi come mele. La ragazza Chanel rimane inconfondibilmente elegante ma indubbiamente prosegue il suo cammino verso future mete. 

It's Karl Lagerfeld himself the author of the photos for the ad campaign Chanel spring/summer 2014.
The two protagonists of the shots are the rising stars Lindsey Wixson and Sasha Luss. The location set up of glass and mirrors symbolizes the double side of fashion: even though Karl Lagerfeld remains always faithful to the origins of Maison Chanel, there is an evident desire of modernity and contemporaneity: the famous tweed and bouclé is colored so pink and the Chanel pearls are as big as apples. The Chanel girl is still unmistakably elegant but undoubtedly continues her path towards future destination.

Christian Louboutin's ART ad campaign SS 2014 by Peter Lippmann

Oggi rimaniamo ancora in compagnia di Christian Louboutin con questo post veloce perché vale proprio la pena di dare un'occhiata alla campagna pubblicitaria per la collezione primavera/estate 2014 firmata Peter Lippmann. Dopo varie campagne per la Maison Christian Louboutin, Peter Lippmann questa volta unisce sapientemente Moda ed Arte utilizzando riproduzioni di famosi quadri "nature morte" di pittori impressionisti e post-impressionisti, inserendo borse e scarpe in un ambiente già esistente di fiori e frutta.  

Today we remain in company of Christian Louboutin with this short post because it's really worth taking a look at the ad campaign for spring/summer 2014 signed by Peter Lippmann. After several campaigns for Maison Christian Louboutin, Peter Lippmann this time sapiently combines Fashion and Art using reproductions of famous "still life" paintings of impressionist and post-impressionist painters, inputting bags and shoes in an already existing location with flowers and fruit.

"De-SPIKE-able me" Christian Louboutin SS 2014

Non molto tempo fa ci siamo posti la domanda  qui  se Valentino fosse impazzito a proporre camouflage, fluo e borchie per la primavera/estate 2014, proprio degli elementi che sembravano completamente out.
Fatto sta che anche un altro designer, il re della scarpa elegante par excellence detta Pigalle e l'inventore della famosa suola rossa, Christian Louboutin, evidentemente si è svegliato una mattina pensando "Famolo strano !" E così ha creato la collezione primavera/estate 2014 utilizzando i colori delle caramelle, candy colors e tempestando scarpe e borse non di borchie quadrate ma di puntine colorate, di spikes. Il risultato è la collezione "Sweet Charity Spikes" coloratissima, sorprendente e molto divertente !

Not long ago I posed the question  here  if Valentino was crazy to propose camouflage, fluo and studs for spring/summer 2014, elements which seemed completely out.
Fact is that even another designer, the king of the elegant shoe par excellence called Pigalle and the inventor of the famous red sole, Christian Louboutin, apparently woke up one morning thinking "Let's do something strange !"  And so he created the spring/summer 2014 collection using candy colors and adorning shoes and bags not with squared studs but with colored little spikes. The result is the "Sweet Charity Spikes" collection, colorful, surprising and very funny !

Valentino's Camurock ad campaign and spring collection 2014

Non possiamo farci sfuggire questa collezione e questa campagna pubblicitaria incontrando di nuovo Terry Richardson come modello e come fotografo ! (come già visto qui) 
Valentino presenta così la Camurock Flap Bag, i Rockrunner Sneakers ed i Camulook Sunglasses che fanno parte della Resort Collection 2014.

Un vento fresco soffia nella maison del lusso e della eleganza, Valentino diventa cool: colori fluo, le amate studs coloratissime, la stampa camouflage ed una tecnologia tutta nuova chiamata "technological couture" per ottenere questo effetto 3D. Per produrre questo specifico tipo di camouflage, i pezzi di cuoio vengono tagliati con il laser, disposti a strati e successivamente sigillati a caldo. 

A fresh wind is blowing in the maison of luxury and elegance, Valentino becomes cool: fluo colors, the colorful beloved studs, the camouflage print and an all-new technology called "technological couture" to get this 3D effect. To produce this specific type of camouflage, the leather pieces are laser-cut, arranged and subsequently heat-sealed. 

La domanda sorge spontanea: Ma Valentino è impazzito ? Ma proprio le infradito ? Ma il camouflage, le borchie ed i colori fluo ... non sono mica completamente OUT ? 
Perché anche altri pezzi della collezione primavera/estate 2014 sono piuttosto borchiate e colorate:

Fatto sta che anche un altro stilista, il re delLA scarpa icona ed elegante par excellence, ha lanciato una collezione non fluo ma candy e non studded ma spiked !
La vedremo al più presto e rimarrete sicuramente ancora più stupite !  

The only answer is that perhaps certain trends will never again be really out ?
Fact is that another stylist, the king of THE icon and elegant shoe par excellence, has launched a collection not fluo but candy and not studded but spiked !
We'll see it as soon as possible and you will definitely be even more surprised !

"Take a look at her look": Anya Ziourova

Anya Ziourova fa parte di quel gruppo di donne russe di stiliste ed editors molto influenti nel mondo della moda chiamato "Russian Fashion Pack". Nata e cresciuta a San Pietroburgo, già a 18 anni si trasferisce a New York e collabora con Vogue America. Oggi collabora come stilista con le testate e le maison più prestigiose, è la Fashion Director della edizione russa del Tatler che ha lanciato lei nel 2009 e la Creative Fashion Consultant di Allure Russia. Inoltre ha collaborato con Vogue China e Vanity Fair Spain. 
Lei definisce il suo stile spontaneo ed abbina pezzi importanti di altissima qualità a pezzi low cost. I suoi stilisti preferiti sono Céline, Chloé e Balmain, per le calzature Jimmy Choo, Louboutin ed Aquazzura. Dichiara che nel guardaroba di una donna non devono mancare un buon paio di jeans, un trench e high heels veramente alte. Girando il mondo per progetti e sfilate è "l'oggetto del desiderio" dei più famosi fotografi di street style come Scott Schuman (The Sartoralist) e Tommy Ton (Jak & Jil). 
Personalmente la trovo molto elegante e graziosa, molto sobria con questo suo taglio di capelli tipico ma semplice, molto diversa da altre icone della moda con i suoi tratti del viso naturali. A sentirla raccontare la sua vita nella moda e da madre in alcuni video, parla un fantastico inglese e risulta  molto preparata e molto simpatica !

Following her opinion in a woman's wardrobe should not be missing a good pair of jeans, a trench and high heels. Globe-trotting for projects and fashion shows she is the "object of desire" of the most famous street style photographers like Scott Schuman (The Sartoralist) and Tommy Ton (Jak & Jil).Personally I find her very elegant and graceful, very sober with her tipical but simple haircut, very different from other fashion icons with her natural lineaments. Listening to her talking about her life in fashion but also as mother in some videos she speaks a fantastic english, is very prepared and a very nice person !
